Inspired! Military Jacket in San Fran

There is my interpetation of the Military Jacket I saw in my previous post.
That is my friend Daniela. Very stylish I might add! I love military jackets. They are so functionally and utilitarian with the many pockets and compartments to store necessities. Like makeup, cell phone, weapons...! JK guys kinda not really. Hey you have to perpared living in the city or urban areas. With this outifit I wore a black beret skinny jeans and scraf are from Forever 21,  The mustard color purse is an older purchase form JcPenney's, the black leather wedge boots are from Cathy Jean and the Military Jacket is from H&M.  This is one of my favorite outfits! I really need to go through my closet again. I did sweep of all my old unworn clothes. I might do it again. There are a lot of things I just no longer wear. Maybe I should do a ebay store. Military Jacket

Its been soooo long that I've posted anything on here. A lot has been going on lately. I've started going back to school. Its been really wonderful getting back into the groove of things. But also very time consuming with a full time job and a social life. :-) I will try to post things more frequently. I can definitely use my phone more to post up ideas, pic and inspirations. I will be in the great city of San Francisco tomorrow. This is my second trip there this month. Wowza! I've really been into a site called It a site where users post picture so their outfits. Letting them create their own look book essentially. Its great for inspiration. Or to check out what people are wearing. I was trying think of some cool new outfits to wear in San Fran. Its so hard to pack if your going to a city in Cali. Its either too hot or not cold enough. this week in San Diego, its been 90 degrees in November crazy talk people. So yea! I'm planning on wearing somehing similar. I will post pic later on in the week.

Appropriate Attire

Forever 21,
Obviously black, white, silver was the theme of the night for our outfits for one of our many nights spent in Vegas. Yes Vegas again. I've been there more then ever these past couple of years. I never get enough. Its so much to see and do there each time. Such a small part of a hugh desert filled state but its jammed packed with options of fun and excitement. We stayed at Planet Hollywood this time. A very swanky place to stay. Its really amazing. It even has a mall inside. I had to stop by Sephora of course. But they have every luxury brand imagineable in Vegas. Its a fashionista's dream come true. I wish I could have downloaded the raw file for you. For some reason blogger is having another tantrum with me.  But the dress I'm wearing was purhcased on Its one of my favorite online stores now. I purchased quite a few dresses for this trip. Plus there was a 30% promo code in the back of my lucky magazine which made the purhase even sweeter. :-)

It’s hard when you work in a professional environment to find the outfit that shows some of your personal style. Since I completely into the fashion world, Sometimes I want to come to work in some crazy stuff that’s not appropriate.

I wear my clothes by how accessible they are to me at the time, functionality, comfort and style. My office doesn’t require us to wear ultra professional attire. We are the “business casual” office. Although we have standards compared to other offices I’ve seen. We might wear flip flops on A casual day but at least we don’t wear the surfer cut off shorts with a sweat shirt.

Since I seem to be the little fashionista of my office I feel the need to turn down the volume on my style. Sometimes I don’t like too much attention. But what the hell, Since I’m starting a new chapter of my life which is going back to school. And since it’s a fashion school, I’m gonna do me. But until I figure out me, Here is one of my work ensembles.

Nude and Brown Colors-Inspired!

Nude and Brown Inspiration

I’ve been using Bobbi Brown makeup for the longest time. I remember my dads girlfriend at the time, took me with her to the Nordstrom beauty department when I was 16 years old. I got a mini makeover. It was so beautiful. I feel in love with the fresh face look. It’s the everyday wear or I want to look like I’ve had ten hours of sleep look. Every since then I must admit I’ve been a little stuck in the makeup dept. But I’ve adjusted it a little and have tried to experiment with different colors. Bobbi Brown makes the most beautiful palettes. It’s like an artist color palette. Just looking at the colors gives me inspiration for everything. I’m constantly getting inspired so I try to log the information. This time I wanted to incorporate this palette into an outfit. I wanted to transform this palette into something I could wear. Seems easy right? It is. I was in downtown San Diego browsing through the clearance and discount racks with a friend. I stumbled upon this Silence and Noise dress. First of all I love Silence and Noise brand. If I had the money I would buy everything they produced. The colors in the dress are amazing. It’s the perfect I got get out of the house in ten minutes to go out dress. The cut is really sexy. If you have curves you can the pull dress back a little at the neckline and this will allow it to drape beautifully in the back. So it will be a tad bit shorter. But who cares. To top off my inspiration I included these beautiful Calvin Klein shoes. They are a brown metallic color. Very simple but sexy. Plus they have a rubber sole for traction. Love that! Check out the palette that inspired my outfit below. What do you think?

They're Here!!!

They are here and I love them! Let me give you a little history on these shoes. My good friend has these shoes for a few years. I tried them on. I absolutely loved the way they looked and felt on my feet. I kept trying to find alternatives because I was being cheap. But nothing came close to the original. I adore these Berkeley T-Strap by Michael Kors. I even posted a blurp about them maybe last year on this blog. They are the perfect match between classic and trendy. One, the t-strap is very classic. Then we have trendy, the design with the straps resembles the gladiator heel but it’s more refined. The gold zipper in the front gives it a little edge. But we’ve seen so many shoes and garments accented with zippers these past seasons. I love things with zippers. It just gives clothes, shoes and accessories that extra padow! Then we have the patent black material, which is a mix of classic and trendy. Black patent hit us hard these past few seasons and its probably not going away for awhile. My Berkley T-Straps have been to San Diego Gaslamp, Las Vegas and LA. They will definitely travel with me to more upcoming trips. I love these so much, I feel like ordering an extra pair as a backup. My boyfriend is known to do this with linen shirts that fit him perfectly. These shoes go with everything. These are my go to shoes. I have never been more excited to wear a pair shoes ever.

Feminine Soft Color: Nicole OPI Play Fair

I was in Target last weekend. Looking around. I always ahve to stop by the cosmetics area just in case some new cool makeup has arrived. I walked by the Nicole OPI section and saw this color jump out at me. I'm a closet nail polish junky. I have a plastic shoe box full of nail polish. I probably will never finish any of the bottles but thats okay. It took me a fews days to try it on. The first coat is very sheer. So I had to apply a second one. I love this color. Its like blush for your nails. Its a barely there color but so feminine and soft at the same time. I might have to wear this all summer long. I'm really liking this one! :-) Normally I wear a polish and its coming off like the next day. But even with cooking, cleaning, etc. This polish has not come off. There is tiny tiny chipping but nothing major. I didn't even put on a top coat.  See this is a day two photo. I all I need is the perfect outift to go with this gorgeous color.

I was recently on twitter. Looking through all of the fascinating tweets. I stumbled upon a Lucky Magazine tweet about their style spotter site. I saw this outfit below. And loved it. I was like I can do this one, it so easy. I got really inspired to try to put this outfit together with my own clothes. It was really fun shopping through my closet. I started thinking I pretty much have all these pieces. I did forget to incorporate a cute bag. I will definitely wear this to work again. When I took these pics I was so sick. Sore throat and all. I'm actually still recovering. Happy Friday!

Spice up your jewelry with one of a kinds

I love soft and edgy items mixed. Its play with femine and masculine. I love it. These pieces of jewelry represent that. I found these pieces at J Crew website. I love them. Love, love love as Rachel Zoe would say. The first bracelet is a must have. They have put so much detail into this bracelet. I've really been inot chains and zippers for awhile now. I'm loving that I'm seeing it everywhere. This bracelet will go with so many of my outfits. I can't wait to get this. The brass color and black screams rocker. The pink ribbon is so soft and girlie. It brings such an awesome balance. Your definitely making a statement.

This is a simple ring that will complete any manicure.
I love the round shape of the rings. Its not to bold.
But I love the brassy finish. It makes it look a little
antiquish. Which i like. The material is copper with
brass plating. I like well made costume jewelry. It
won't rust or change colors. If you love a piece and
spend more money do it

This 22 inch necklace is made out of Czech crystals.
Its stainless steel chain with gold plating. I love the
starburst they've included. It reminds me of 1950s
and of my grandma Doris who wore gorgeous jewelry.

This reminds me of the 1920s, gothic, gotham,
dark glamour. Its 20 inch brass black pot painted chain.
I'm defeinitely can see me wearing this with a shift
dress or a t-shirt to dress it up.

This is one of my favorite pics of myself. Me and my little sister were on vacation and messing around taking pictures. I love it because it reminds me of summer and having fun wearing swimsuits or light and airy clothing which I love. Here are some of my fav pics I might be purchasing for the summer.

Can I please get a plate of Inspiration?

I'm definitely need some inspiration in my life right now when it comes to fashion. I've haven't felt this uninspired in a long time. Every magazine that I look into has the same old boring stuff. Maybe because its spring fashion mayhem. Everything pastel, pretty and feminine but I'm not feeling it. Or maybe I need to look a little deeper. But I need some inspiration for some fabulous new outfits. All my go to sites and mags have the same stuff. I need color, patterns, worn, torn, fabulous, fierce inspiration. And yes I found it in Essense magazine. They had great outfits in the magazine. I mostly love essence because of there articles not so much for the fashion but this month I was diggin what they dished out. Check it out below.

Spring 2010 Fashion Trends

Spring 2010 Fashion Trends are definitely soft and pastel. Very light, feminine flowy fabrics. We saw a bit of this in the Oscars. Its pretty but thats it. I have enough pretty clothes. Maybe this new trend is to balance out all the edgy rocker stuff we saw this winter. Who knows! I don't dislike this trend but is it boring???

2010 Oscar Dresses

The 2010 Academy Awards better known as the Oscars was on ABC Sunday night. I did not watch the whole show because I was anxious to watch Hurt Locker. Which was a really good movie but not better than Avatar. But I was able to catch all the good and funny moments. I saw Monique's beautiful acceptance speech. The tear jerking Oscar presentation for actors that had passed away. I also saw Ben Stiller's awkward and funny moment dressed up as a Navi from Avatar. Sandra Bullocks heart felt moment accepting her award. I did are some beautiful dresses Sunday night. I'm not sure if I was swept of my feet. I think everyone went to the same stylist or everyone was on the vibe of either structured dresses or flowey feminine old Hollywood look. Here are some of my favorite pics.

My love for Gray! Bobino Pumps

Trend reports say that Gray is the new color on the radar. I've been into gray probably for almost two years. Its a simple basic color that gets over looked. I love sheer gray blouses. I only have one. I purchased it back when that whole victorian blouse phenomenon happened almost two to three years ago. Besides that I have a gray tank, gray kensie sweater jacket(I'm wearing it now), gray vest by H&M, gray leggings, and a gray striped shirt that looks awesome with a white or black jacket. So all i need is gray boots which I have been longing for since two years ago. I'm not sure if I would really wear them that often so thats why I haven't purchased any yet. Although I'm trying to stop shopping. These pumps were on sale for $25 bucks. I got additional 30 to 40% off plus free shipping. Amazing! I couln't help myself. I wore them out recently and forgot to take a head to toe picture. Well maybe I have one. I will have to double check. They went great with my fit. Definitely a dinner, work, or not a lot of walking shoe. Unfortunately for me I had to walk five blocks to my car in these shoes and plus I was standing all night, well dancing little two.Plus I had to use my Dr. Scholl inserts since my left foot runs a little small. The inserts were the ones for the ball of your foot. Depending on your foot structure these may or may not work for you. But despsite all of that I love them, especially for the price. But for future no more buying potentially uncomforable shoes its so hard becuase you want all of your shoes to be versatile for different outfits. So they are comfortable in certain situations. I'm trying to do better. Anywho!, what do you guys think?

Staying Classy at Lavo in Vegas baby!

"Yes I went to Vegas again!" Its one of my favorite places to go!
It was sort of a last minute trip kind of! But needless to say I fought the logic and went anyway! I had a great time with my girlfriends. I also had to fight the urge to fall into the skimpy ultra crazy Vegas fashion that circles every club like vultures over a carcass. This was one of the quick go to outfits I picked out. Luckily these items caught my eye when I had to make a return at Forever 21. This whole outfit is under $100 bucks. I wanted to wear nothing but one pieces on my Vegas trip but this skirt caught my eye. I wish they had a dress made out of this print. I love it! The skirt really reminded me of XS nightclub at the Wynn in Las Vegas. I've been there once before and its amazing! But I wore this outfit at Lavo at The Palazzo.
